Lily Allen Cancels Her only New Zealand Show
On Wednesday, singer Lily Allen cancelled her concert at the Spark Arena in Auckland due to a viral infection. Allen, 41, posted on social media that she was "absolutely gutted" to be letting fans down.
The performance was part of Allen's global West End Girl tour, which features 14 tracks detailing the breakdown of her marriage to actor David Harbour. She is currently touring New Zealand and Australia to perform the album.
Tour promoter Frontier stated ticketholders will receive automatic refunds within 14-21 days on their original payment method. The company confirmed Allen is resting with full intention of completing the remainder of her tour as planned.
Australian tour dates remain unchanged, beginning Friday, October 23, at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Allen remains focused on completing the tour after recuperating from her illness.
Earlier this week, Allen promised to keep discussing "real things," criticizing the music industry for failing to market women of her age. She recently complimented her ex-husband, the 51-year-old actor David Harbour, regarding his acting ability.
Two British singers have to cancel scheduled appearances: Lily Allen is infected with a virus infection, Charli XCX has lost her voice. How they bring the news to their fans.
