Veteran Olivier Giroud scores again for Lille in late win over Monaco
Scoring a goal in the dying moments of Sunday's Ligue 1 match against Monaco, Olivier Giroud continues to thrill Lille fans. The Frenchman also embraces his role as "big brother" in an ambitious dressing room.
Olivier Giroud, who returned to the French Ligue 1 in the summer, gave Adi Hütters Monaco a spoilt trip to Lille. The old champion hit the 1-0 of the "Dogs" against the Monegassen on Sunday evening in the 91st minute decisively. The 38-year-old attacker forgave Lille a penalty in the eighth minute of the replay period. Monaco had won the opening match in the previous week.
Olivier Giroud scored again in Ligue 1 in the 90th + 2 minute to offer the victory in Lille against Monaco 1-0 this Sunday evening. He then missed a penalty.
The former French international, on a pivot strike, offered the victory to his team, largely dominating against the ASM on Sunday.
After a first half removed, the pace fell back between the Losc and the ASM, but the former tricolor international made the difference at the end of the match (1-0).
