Liberty beat Aces 87-76 behind Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu
Breanna Stewart scored 15 of her 20 points in the second half, and Sabrina Ionescu added 16 points and 10 rebounds for New York.
On Tuesday, the New York Liberty defeated the Las Vegas Aces 87-76 behind Forward Breanna Stewart's 20 points and Sabrina Ionescu's first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Entering the game with a 12-6 record, the Liberty sought to rebound from disappointing losses to Washington and Los Angeles; the Aces, dropping to 12-5, hosted the matchup between the league's past two WNBA champions.
Han scored 10 of her 12 points in the third quarter to help New York build a 67-51 lead. Late in the game, Ionescu and Stewart answered with 3-pointers to thwart an 8-0 Las Vegas rally.
Guard Jackie Young led the Aces with 19 points, while Wilson was held to a season-low 16 points. "Moments like that can either make you or break you," Ionescu said of the tight contest.
The teams will meet again on June 30 in New York for the Commissioner's Cup final. NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Heat center Bam Adebayo watched Tuesday's game courtside.
