Lewiston superintendent details 30 positions lost in next year’s school budget

Superintendent Jake Langlais proposes cutting 30 positions to reduce a $12 million budget increase, saving nearly $1.5 million in salaries to limit tax hikes.

The superintendent presented his first draft of the proposed budget Wednesday. The school committee has the ability to add positions back.
