A Level 1 Low Water Condition has been issued for the Quinte Conservation Watershed including the regions of the Moira, Napanee, and Salmon Rivers as well as all of Prince Edward County.

Prince Edward County is encouraging residents to conserve water amid a Level 1 Low Water Condition situation. Quinte Conservation issued that condition on Thursday, and the County is asking people who get their water from groundwater systems and inland lakes to reduce non-essential use by 10 per cent as a result.
