Unfortunately for us, the state Legislature continues to appease the monopoly of interisland shipping company Young Brothers. For generations we the people and taxpayers have continued to pay outrageous freight charges for needed goods and services. Rate hikes that are right out of our pockets. The legislative representatives who also have had a stranglehold on our pocketbooks just continue to spend your money like bandits.
