The Golden Eagles improved to 4-1 overall with a 2-0 Southern Conference record, earning a 12th-place ranking in the Stats Perform Football Championship Subdivision poll following the win.
Leatherwood completed 38 passes for 427 yards, connecting with 12 different receivers. The Terriers, led by quarterback Ethan Drumm, countered with 304 passing yards and touchdowns to four distinct targets.
After the Terriers took a lead on kicker Sam Spence's 42-yard field goal, Holloway returned the ensuing kickoff 66 yards to the Wofford 30, setting up the final game-winning drive.
Tennessee Tech visits Western Carolina next Saturday while Wofford travels to Furman the same day, as both teams continue their Southern Conference schedules following this weekend's matchup.
