At the end of August, Trooper Michael Pahira Jr.’s family sat in a chilly Schuylkill County courtroom and watched Pahira’s alleged killer sit before a judge for the first time. Michael Bon, 33, was driving the tractor trailer that hit and killed Pahira in a July crash on the shoulder of Interstate 81.
