Larson to carry Busch tribute livery at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Larson’s No. 5 car will feature a Kellogg’s-inspired scheme, and merchandise royalties will support the Kyle & Samantha Busch Foundation.

  • Kyle Larson will run a tribute paint scheme for the late Kyle Busch at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Oct. 4. The Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet will feature a yellow and blue design with red trim based on Busch's 2007 palette.
  • The design mirrors the Kellogg livery Busch drove to victory at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2007, marking the debut of NASCAR's fifth-generation Car of Tomorrow. That historic win was the fourth of Busch's career.
  • "It was important to run a Kyle Busch tribute scheme," Larson said, citing how watching Busch coach his son, Brexton, inspired him. Larson called Busch "the best driver I've gotten to compete with in stock cars."
  • A portion of royalties from merchandise sold will support the Samanthan Busch Foundation and the Bundle of Joy Fund, which assist couples struggling with infertility. This extends Busch's charitable legacy.
  • Ty Gibbs and Joe Gibbs Racing will recognize Busch at Bristol Motor Speedway next week with an M&M's theme, marking the second tribute paint scheme for the late champion this season. Multiple teams continue honoring his impact.
