LaMelo Ball's 30 points lifts Hornets over Kings 117-109
On Wednesday night, the Charlotte Hornets beat the Sacramento Kings 117-109 in Sacramento, their first win there since 2024.
LaMelo Ball shot 10 of 22 and made six 3-pointers, helping Charlotte rally after trailing much of the first half while Sacramento played without Russell Westbrook.
Miles Bridges' alley-oop to Brandon Miller gave Charlotte an 88-83 lead, and LaMelo Ball then hit his sixth 3-pointer and added free throws to help close out the game.
Charlotte travels to San Antonio on Saturday, presenting an immediate road test after the win, while the Kings visit the Los Angeles Clippers after failing in a bid for a third straight victory.
Ball also contributed six rebounds and five assists, while Sacramento received 14 points and eight rebounds from Precious Achiuwa, Kings forward, and 13 points from Daeqwon Plowden, Kings guard.
