Attacks were committed after the death of four soldiers
In a suspected jihadist attack during Friday prayers in northwestern Nigeria last week, about 30 people were killed, according to local officials. The attackers were equipped with "highly sophisticated weapons," Shamsuddeen Mai Akwai, secretary of the Kebbe government council, told AFP on Monday. They attacked the village of Ungushi in Sokoto State "while worshippers were praying."
