- Tragically, the false alarm incited a mob to fatally assault 24-year-old commercial motorcyclist Kulaha Ayuba, whom assailants wrongly identified as a "Fulani bandit."
- Following swift intervention by security operatives, fifteen suspects were arrested in connection with the killing, and The Command assured the public that all those found culpable will face the full weight of the law.
- The Commissioner Fatai Tijani urged Lagosians to remain calm and report suspicious activities through official channels, warning that individuals found circulating false, inciting information will be investigated and prosecuted.
- Authorities maintain that schools across Lagos remain safe, with adequate security presence and surveillance in place, as The Command reiterated its commitment to the protection of lives and property across the state.
