LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE:LFLR) - Regional Targets Add Optionality, Swanson Remains the Value Driver - Research Portal
LaFleur Minerals (LFLR) reported assays from the final 35 holes (9,429m) of its 64-hole (16,331m) regional drill program at the Swanson gold project, ~55km north of Val-d'Or, Québec. The program forms part of the broader 93-hole (25,571m) Swanson drill campaign and tested targets outside the Swanson deposit. The highlight was hole SW-26-124 at the Bartec target, ~5km from the Swanson deposit, which returned 6.05 g/t Au over 8.00m, including 14.96 g/t Au over 3.00m, from 38m downhole (~30m vertical depth). While the Bartec hole is a legitimate, shallow hit on a target that has not been drilled since 1987, it is just one hole, and the grade is concentrated in a single 3m interval. The rest of the program returned mostly low-grade, narrow or isolated single-metre high-grade results, with only 10 of 35 holes returning significant intercepts. By comparison, drilling at the Swanson deposit has regularly returned 2-3 g/t Au over 80-160m, e.g., 2.05 g/t Au over 158.25m (SW-25-066) and 2.95 g/t Au over 80.00m (SW-25-085) and continues to be where the drill bit adds value. We view the regional targets, Bartec included, as longer-dated mill feed optionality for Beacon rather than a near-term valuation driver.
