Lacombe County council has rejected a landowner’s bid to get relief from a nearly $2,500 fire response bill. County Fire Chief Dave Bain and four Bentley District Fire Department firefighters responded on April 21 to a report of a brush fire near a trailer on a property about 20 kilometres northwest of Bentley.
