Son of Former NFL Player, RHOA Star Indicted in Sex Assault Case
The 15-year-old faces charges that could bring 50 years in prison if convicted on both felony counts, his lawyers said.
- On Thursday, Sept. 3, a Fulton County Superior Court grand jury indicted 15-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr. on 7 felony counts, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and false imprisonment following an alleged sexual assault.
- Police opened an investigation after an April 23 incident at a Lifetime Fitness on North Point Parkway, leading to Biermann's arrest on Aug. 17 for the alleged offenses.
- Attorney Jason Sheffield maintains his client is "100 percent innocent," citing a passed polygraph and noting Georgia Bureau reports found no male DNA on the alleged victim.
- Biermann remains at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center while his legal team filed a motion on Wednesday, Sept. 2, requesting his release on bond pending trial.
- Facing two felony charges carrying mandatory minimum sentences of 25 years each, Biermann could receive a 50-year sentence if found guilty; his next court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 8.
