At the state track meet at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Avery Touchette won the State Championship in the Ambulatory 100 meter dash (13.37) and finished second in the 200m and 400m races. Avery was born with hemiplegic cerebral palsy which affects the left side of his body and his balance. The state championship capped off his first high school track season.
