- Last week, Latvian and Lithuanian leaders warned of "limited kinetic operations" targeting critical infrastructure, following earlier intelligence suggesting Russia planned hybrid attacks involving missiles and drones to signal: stop supporting Ukraine.
- GPS jamming and sabotage are also identified as potential Russian tactics. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski warned in June that "The Russians are planning something again; we have credible information."
- Dismissing the warnings, the Kremlin's Dmitry Peskov called them "scare stories." Prime Minister Donald Tusk noted that "the coming months may truly be critical" regarding threats to Polish soil.
- Tuesday's security committee meeting in Poland addressed these concrete threat vectors, which resemble intelligence sharing that preceded the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, as officials brace for a test of NATO resolve.

Russia has intercepted a significant number of Ukrainian drones and may use them as a provocative element, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. He added that the issue will be discussed by the government's security committee on Tuesday.
