Korean Wia Will Move Production to Martin, the State Will Provide It with Investment Aid of Almost Nine Million Euros

MARTIN - Wia Slovakia, a company from the Hyundai Wia group, will create 255 jobs in Martin over the next three years. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Denisa Saková and the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Family Erik Tomáš (both Hlas-SD) at a press briefing on the occasion of the launch of serial production at the company on Wednesday. By 2035, the company should create another 200 jobs as part of further investment plans.
The Korean company Wia Slovakia will receive state aid of 8.9 million euros in the form of income tax relief to support the implementation of an investment project in Martin. The company will transfer its production of parts and accessories for motor vehicles from Dolný Hrič to the former premises of Ecco Slovakia in Martin.
