- The attack sent Ejiba residents into chaos, with villagers fleeing and officials urging the Ejiba community to share intelligence and remain security conscious.
- Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Kogi Commissioner for Information, condemned the assault as very sad and said the Kogi State Government and security operatives have taken drastic rescue measures and urged public intelligence.
