- MGM+ will premiere its four-part historical drama 'A Tale of Two Cities' on September 6, following a first trailer released Wednesday featuring Game of Thrones star Kit Harington.
- Set in 1782 London during the French Revolutionary Wars, the story follows Lucie Manette as she discovers her father may be alive in Paris, triggering the arrest of French emigré Charles Darnay for treason.
- Lucie enlists brilliant but erratic lawyer Sydney Carton to free Darnay, sparking a complex love triangle; the synopsis notes characters become bound together through "triumphs, tragedies, marriage and murder."
