On August 6, New York State Representative Ron Kim held the annual back-to-school backpack distribution event at the 109th Precinct of the NYPD in Flushing. In conjunction with the 109th Precinct, the CAIPA Foundation, the Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC), and First Health, among other organizations, backpacks and stationery were distributed to students, and the event helped children welcome the new school year.
