Kid Spark Education Expands Access to Early Childhood STEM & Literacy Through New Head Start Initiative
Eligible Head Start sites can apply for reusable STEM labs, literacy books and educator training as Kid Spark lowers implementation costs.
On Thursday, Kid Spark Education announced the launch of its Head Start STEM & Literacy Initiative, a national effort designed to increase access to hands-on learning for young children in Head Start programs across the country.
The initiative builds on Kid Spark's established partnership with Grow Early Learning, which previously implemented programs across 43 sites, demonstrating the model's scalability and sustainability in real-world Head Start environments.
Participating sites receive Early Inventors STEM Labs and Storytime Inventing books, with the full implementation package valued at approximately $1,544 and typical site contributions ranging from $450 to $750.
The program ensures long-term sustainability by eliminating consumable supplies and ongoing subscription fees, allowing Head Start agencies to deliver instruction without recurring costs year after year.
Kid Spark Education aims to make hands-on learning accessible to every Head Start program nationwide; eligible agencies can visit kidsparkeducation.org/head-start to apply for the reduced-cost initiative.
