Central Government Increases ASHA Workers' Benefits
Thiruvananthapuram: The central government has increased the monthly incentives for ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers from ₹2,000 to ₹3,500. The retirement benefit has also been raised from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000. Only ASHA workers who have completed 10 years of service are eligible for the revised retirement benefits.
