Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines eyes Shymkent maintenance base
SCAT Airlines (DV, Shymkent) is considering the establishment of a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) centre at Shymkent in partnership with Boeing. The potential facility was discussed during a meeting between Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the manufacturer's leadership in the United States. The airline is also mulling an order for additional Boeing jets, which already make up majority of its narrowbody and widebody fleet.
