The AKP-controlled Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality had announced that women would not be allowed to enter the largest water park in Central Anatolia. Following the backlash, the municipality reversed its decision regarding the "men-only" facility, which had its promotion handled by a woman.
Following public outcry, the water park opened by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Sports Inc., which was initially announced as providing services "for men only," has undergone a new regulation. The facility will now also serve women only three days a week.
