KATSEYE Drops Out of Olivia Rodrigo’s Concert After Megan Is Unable to Perform
The group said Megan Skiendiel will rest the sprained ankle before its upcoming tour, and Devon Again will fill the festival slot.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, girl group KATSEYE withdrew from Olivia Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival after member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during tour rehearsals.
This setback follows a tumultuous year for the quartet, which was already operating without members Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman, both of whom took indefinite hiatuses to prioritize their mental health.
Festival organizers confirmed that Los Angeles-based artist Devon Again will replace the group during their 1 p.m. time slot this Saturday in Irvine, California, at the charitable event founded by Rodrigo.
In an Instagram statement, the band expressed disappointment about missing the festival, emphasizing they are prioritizing Skiendiel's recovery to ensure readiness for their upcoming tour.
Despite these personnel shifts, the group's popularity continues to rise, marked by the release of their latest EP, Wild, last week, signaling sustained momentum for the act.
