- Shivakumar urged dissatisfied leaders to remain patient, assuring them everyone would receive "appropriate responsibilities," while BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya criticized the expansion, alleging Congress failed to deliver on social justice promises.
- New minister P M Narendraswamy stated the party will work to strengthen itself for the 2028 Assembly elections, as leadership attempts to address internal dissent while planning future opportunities for excluded legislators.

CM DK Shivakumar warned disgruntled Congress MLAs that their resignations would be accepted "within minutes" if they chose to quit, stressing that the party was more important than individual's political futures. He also said it was his patience that had brought him to the position he holds today.
Following the cabinet expansion in Karnataka, resentment has grown within the Congress. Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has sent a clear message to MLAs that he will accept any resignations immediately.
