Miami Freshman Golfer Kai Trump, President Trump's Granddaughter, Says She Had Wrist Surgery
Trump posted that recovery will take time after her latest left wrist operation and did not give a return timeline.
On Wednesday, Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, announced on Instagram that she underwent surgery on her left wrist. The 19-year-old golfer competes for the Miami Hurricanes.
During the Golfweek Fall Classic in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, in September, Trump suffered the injury when her club struck hard ground while attempting a shot near a cart path.
This procedure follows a prior operation on the same wrist to address injuries to the stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and damage to her triangular fibrocartilage complex.
Emphasizing patience and determination, Trump wrote on social media, 'Sometimes the journey takes an unexpected turn,' regarding her recovery ahead.
With no return timeline provided, Trump stated 'recovery will take time,' though the Miami Hurricanes, with two tournament wins this season, await her return.
