The Department of Justice, through its Economic Crimes Division, today filed 123 charges against Andy William Ruiz Torres, 49, for crimes related to fraud, identity theft and document forgery, including the preparation and use of fake prescriptions for controlled medications.
A man identified as Andy William Ruiz Torres was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly illegally appropriating the prescription of two doctors. According to authorities, the 49-year-old man would have falsified multiple prescriptions of tramadol medication in Dr. Alberto Pablo Córica Guinle’s offices at Dr. Pila Metropolitan Hospital in Ponce. Generalist doctor Carlos Francisco Planell Dosal was also identified as another of the affected gallens. …
