European spacecraft rockets toward Jupiter and its icy moons

The European Space Agency's Juice spacecraft has begun its decade-long quest to explore Jupiter as well as three of its moons, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede, all of which are believed to have buried oceans that might have the potential to sustain life. The primary target of the €1.6bn mission that will take 4 billion miles to reach is Ganymede, the largest moon of Jupiter.
