SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUG 9 – Juan Hernandez won six races including the Grade III Best Pal and Grade II Yellow Ribbon Stakes, nearing the Del Mar single-day record set by Victor Espinoza and Drayden Van Dyke.
- On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Del Mar, Juan Hernandez achieved a career-high six wins from nine rides, falling one short of the record, including victories aboard Desert Gate in the Grade III Best Pal Stakes and Heredia in the Grade II Yellow Ribbon Stakes.
- Building on his rapport with Baffert, Hernandez's half of his wins came on horses trained by him, including Bottle of Rouge, Desert Gate, and Privman.
- During Saturday’s card, Juan Hernandez won with Battle of Rouge, Desert Gate, Privman, Final Boss, Broadway Unions and Heredia, totaling six victories.
