JR Hokkaido tracks violations in 10 maintenance offices in fiscal 2012 (Kyodo News)

On the 30th, JR Hokkaido, which has had a series of safety management incidents, such as workers entering the tracks while a freight train was approaching, announced the results of an employee survey, which showed that violations of entering the tracks without taking the prescribed safety measures had occurred in 10 of the 34 track maintenance offices in the prefecture during fiscal 2024.
