Johnston police cruiser hits pole while pursuing stolen car

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A Johnston police cruiser crashed while in pursuit of a stolen vehicle early Thursday morning. Police Chief Mark Vieira said the suspect was stopped just before 2 a.m. by an officer in a 7-Eleven parking lot on Plainfield Street in Cranston.
