- Sturgill Simpson, performing as Johnny Blue Skies, announced a 29-date 2026 North American tour titled "Mutiny for the Masses Tour" supporting his latest album, Mutiny After Midnight, kicking off September 4 in Austin, Texas.
- Previously, Simpson declared his 2021 release, The Ballad of Dood and Juanita, would be his final album under his own name; he currently performs lusty funk-rock under the Johnny Blue Skies moniker with the Dark Clouds.
- Following its March 20 release, Mutiny After Midnight moved 59,000 units, marking a strong physical-only debut and securing spots on the Billboard 200, as well as the Top Rock and Alternative Albums charts.
- Presale for the tour begins Wednesday, April 8, with general tickets available on Friday, April 10 via Ticketmaster and AXS; fans can only resell tickets through Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange and AXS Resale platforms.
- Spanning 29 performances across the continent, the tour includes stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Nashville before concluding October 30 at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.
