Jodie Sweetin Reveals She and Bob Saget Survived a Drive-By Shooting
Sweetin said Saget got her home after a drive-by shooting that shattered a car window and delayed them on the way to a concert.
On Sunday, October 18, actress Jodie Sweetin revealed during a '90s Con panel that she and late co-star Bob Saget survived a drive-by shooting while heading to a Janet Jackson concert.
The incident occurred in the late '80s or early '90s when a suspect shot out the car window during the drive-by, forcing Sweetin and Saget to wait for taxis to reach their venue.
Saget drove Sweetin home afterward to explain the situation to her mother, an event she joked made Bob "not always my mom's favorite" due to his raunchy stand-up acts.
Former co-star John Stamos expressed shock upon hearing the story for the first time, while the Full House cast honored the late actor's legacy during the weekend panel.
Sweetin, who holds the memory close to her heart, remembered Saget as an inclusive figure who treated her with respect as a young person on the sitcom before he passed away at 65 in 2022.
