JOBS FOR TULSA: Quantum Space Announces New Manufacturing Facility, Will Benefit Space Force
The facility will produce the Ranger spacecraft for defense and commercial missions and add high-skilled engineering and manufacturing roles.
On May 12, Quantum Space announced plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to produce its Ranger series of spacecraft, with initial operations scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Former NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, recently appointed CEO, is leading the company's expansion to scale production for defense and commercial missions, including critical work for the U.S. Space Force.
The facility will occupy 25,000 to 40,000 square feet near Tulsa International Airport and is expected to create 50 high-skill jobs initially, with expansion as production scales.
Complementing existing operations in Rockville, Maryland, and Hawthorne, California, the Tulsa site supports Quantum Space's role in the multibillion-dollar Andromeda program, a Space Force initiative.
With aerospace and defense already Oklahoma's second-largest industry, the facility positions the state as critical to U.S. space defense capabilities amid growing competition with America's adversaries.
