Jets Sign RB Breece Hall to 3-Year, $45.75M Extension
Hall’s new deal makes him the NFL’s third-highest-paid running back and keeps a core playmaker under contract through 2028.
On Friday, the New York Jets and running back Breece Hall agreed to a three-year, $45.75 million contract extension, according to a person familiar with the deal.
Hall, a 2022 second-round pick from Iowa State, faced uncertainty after not receiving an extension last offseason when teammates Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson did.
Having recorded 1,000 yards from scrimmage in three straight seasons, Hall rushed for a career-high 1,065 yards last year despite a late-season knee injury.
The Jets had previously used the franchise tag on Hall, making him the third-highest paid running back in the NFL at $15.25 million annually.
Coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey insisted on keeping Hall as the engine of the New York Jets' offense, despite trade rumors circulating before last year's deadline.
