Salmonella Fears Prompt Recall of Seasoning Sold at Walmart Stores Nationwide
Blackstone Products is recalling three lots after federal health officials said the seasoning may contain salmonella from powdered milk.
On Friday, the Food and Drug Administration announced that Utah-based Blackstone Products is voluntarily recalling specific lots of Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning, product #4106, due to potential Salmonella contamination.
Powdered milk in the seasoning was recalled earlier this year due to possible Salmonella contamination, prompting the company to initiate the recall and protect consumers from health risks.
Blackstone distributed the affected seasoning exclusively through Walmart stores nationwide and through the company's website, according to federal health officials.
The FDA warns consumers to immediately discard the recalled products, as Salmonella can cause serious or fatal infections in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.
Customers can request replacements by contacting Blackstone at 1-888-879-4610 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT Monday-Friday for products with lot numbers 2025-43282, 2025-46172, or 2026-54751.
