  • On May 4, 2025, Jays Care Foundation revealed it is investing over $1.5 million to upgrade and develop baseball fields across Canada, including improvements to Goulard Park in West Nipissing.
  • This funding is part of a TD-supported initiative by the Jays Care Foundation that provides grants to 15 groups across six provinces aimed at improving community baseball diamonds.
  • The upgrades aim to expand baseball, create safe and inclusive spaces, and foster community connection where youth can develop life skills and grow a love for the game.
  • Peter King, Acting Executive Director, explained that these new baseball fields are designed to be much more than just playing areas—they will serve as vibrant community centers where young people can stay active, learn, and develop a passion for the sport. Meanwhile, TD highlighted their commitment to creating welcoming environments where families come together, children enjoy themselves, and communities flourish.
  • The projects, including $150,000 for Windsor’s Cullen Field upgrades, will start this fall and are expected to positively impact youth participation in baseball nationwide.
