Jaylen Brown Says He Has No Beef with Former Celtics Teammate Jayson Tatum
- On Friday, Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum addressed rumors of a rift with former teammate Jaylen Brown, denying any "beef" and insisting their separation lacked the bitter animosity of the Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant feud.
- Tensions escalated after Tatum claimed in a recent video he was "just as much caught off guard" by Brown's July trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, prompting Brown to reply on Instagram with a "cap" emoji.
- Although Brown dismissed the conflict on Saturday, he sarcastically commended Tatum's "PR team" while acknowledging their shared accomplishments during nine years as teammates and their 2024 championship win.
- Blake Griffin, who played with both stars in Boston, expressed disappointment regarding the public drama and urged the pair to maintain perspective on their rare shared success and championship accomplishment.
- The two stars will face each other when the Celtics visit Philadelphia on November 10 for the first of four regular-season matchups, with Brown scheduled to return to TD Garden on January 21, 2026.
