Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Southern California
Roc Nation will executive produce the show as Jay-Z becomes the first rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime stage.
On Monday, Apple Music and the NFL announced that Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell requested that Jay-Z perform 'whenever the moment felt right to him' when Roc Nation partnered with the league in 2019 to advise on music entertainment strategy.
Reflecting on his 30-year career, Jay-Z said, 'This run continues to be a dream come true,' as he returns to SoFi Stadium where he celebrated the 30th anniversary of his 1996 debut album, 'Reasonable Doubt.'
Roc Nation will executive produce the halftime show with director Hamish Hamilton, while ESPN and ABC will broadcast the game, marking ESPN's first televised Super Bowl.
The promotional announcement featured a goat in a video, following last season's Bad Bunny halftime performance, which averaged 128.2 million viewers and drew attention from music fans and politicians alike.
Rapper Jay-Z will perform during the half-time show of the next Super Bowl, the final of the American football championship to be played in February in Los Angeles, announced Monday the NFL Sports League.
