In Aomori Prefecture in northern Japan, approximately 1,800 people were pulled by ropes to move the 360-ton main tower of the historic Hirosaki Castle back to its original position. The structure, which was removed years ago to repair walls damaged in an earthquake, was moved approximately 2 meters during the work carried out over the weekend.
VIDEO - 1,800 people volunteered to help transport the castle of Hirosaki to the strength of their arms, north of Japan. The technique called hikiya must allow the building, displaced for work, to return to its place.
