Sweden's Frida Karlsson is the winner of the first running event at the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games. She convincingly beat all the competition in the 10 + 10 kilometer skiathlon event in Tesero. The only Slovenian representative, Neža Žerjav, ended the race early when the winner overtook her for a lap.
