James Bulger killer John Venables to be given parole hearing

Jon Venables, one of the killers of James Bulger, has been granted a two-day parole hearing after serving eight years for the murder.
Venables and Robert Thompson, both ten years old at the time, were given life sentences for the murder of the two-year-old in 1993, but were released on licence with new identities in 2001.
Venables, now 40, has been in and out of prison for possessing indecent images of children, serving a 40-month sentence and being jailed again in 2017.
