JAMB Allows Candidates to Verify O’Level Results From Home
The new service verifies results electronically with examination bodies and lets candidates complete uploads without visiting CBT centres.
- On Monday, August 24, 2026, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board launched an online service allowing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination candidates to verify and upload O'Level results from home, reducing reliance on Computer-Based Test centres.
- Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin stated the initiative aims to make services faster and more convenient while eliminating challenges like long queues, data entry errors, and fraud involving unverified certificates.
- To use the service, candidates must provide their National Identification Number and obtain a verification code via the e-Facility portal or SMS to 55019 or 66019, allowing JAMB to electronically verify results against West African Examinations Council records.
- Upon successful verification, candidates log into their dashboard, select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, then click "Apply the O'Level Results" to complete the upload and receive a confirmation notification.
- The innovation, part of Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina's customer-focused agenda, currently covers West African Examinations Council results but will expand to include other examination bodies, further simplifying admission processes during peak periods.
