Jalen Duren Injury: What Happened to Detroit Pistons Center vs. Miami Heat?
Detroit said Duren left with a right-thigh injury after 10 minutes, and Paul Reed filled in as the Pistons outscored Miami 128-111.
On Friday, Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren suffered a right thigh injury during the team's 128-111 victory over the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center.
Before exiting, Duren recorded four points, six rebounds, and three assists in 10 minutes, contributing to the Pistons' 2-0 start after signing a $200 million contract extension earlier this month.
Forward Ausar Thompson, a first-team All-Defense selection, also departed in the third quarter after a hard fall, while backup center Paul Reed scored 19 points and added 11 rebounds.
Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff did not provide updates on either injury postgame, though Duren was listed as questionable to return but never played in the second half.
Detroit continues their three-game road trip Sunday night in Philadelphia, seeking to maintain momentum as a prominent Eastern Conference contender despite the dual injury concerns.
