Jail for man who tried to sell guns and ammunition in Kent

David Fitzgerald, 58, was arrested after officers raided a property on October 14, 2020. Hidden inside a wardrobe, they found a bag containing a self-loading pistol, a silencer, a magazine and a quantity of loose ammunition. A storage unit he leased nearby was also searched and officers found a bolt-action rifle and ammunition wrapped in a towel inside. Fitzgerald was proven to have attempted to sell the firearms after encrypted messages he sent to other criminals.
