Michael Douglas Gives Update on Jack Nicholson After He ‘Disappeared’ From Hollywood: ‘He’s Well’
A close friend says Nicholson no longer works and spends most of his time at home as concerns about memory loss continue.
- After a legendary career spanning over 50 years, Hollywood icon Jack Nicholson has largely vanished from public life, having not participated in interviews or appeared in films since 2010.
- Nicholson believed for almost 40 years that his mother was his sister until 1974, when Time Magazine revealed the truth; his actual mother, June Frances Nicholson, had him at age 18, leading her parents to raise him as their own.
- The actor earned recognition with 12 Oscar nominations during a career comprising over 70 films and TV serials, with acclaimed roles in The Shining, Chinatown, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest establishing his legacy.
- Sources cite memory loss as the reason for his departure from public life, with an acquaintance telling RadarOnline that Nicholson is 'sadly closing the final chapter' while living as a recluse in his Beverly Hills home.
- Comedian-Turned-Film director Danny, who is 81, noted that Nicholson no longer leaves his house and receives help from his children; friends emphasize they are 'great friends' who shared much time together despite his reclusiveness.
