Iveco, PlusAI expand partnership with autonomous truck tests in Spain
IVECO and PlusAI will conduct multi-year Level 4 autonomous truck trials on a 300 km route in Spain to improve freight safety and efficiency, officials said.
- PlusAI announced on Monday it will launch Southern Europe’s first programme to test heavy‑duty autonomous trucks, expanding its partnership with IVECO, the brand of Iveco Group N.V..

- Two IVECO S‑Way trucks will be fitted with PlusAI SuperDrive, Level 4 virtual driver for tests on a roughly 300‑km Madrid–Zaragoza freight route.
- Trials will be carried out with Sesé and the Government of Aragon, Spain, starting in 2026 as multi-year tests with a safety operator on board; partners say the project aims to improve safety, efficiency, and supply-chain competitiveness.
