'I've been living a lie' - Tommy Fleming comes out as gay

On Friday, Irish singer Tommy Fleming announced he is gay during a Newstalk interview, stating he had been "living a lie my whole life" while concealing his sexuality.
Fleming said his "hand was forced" to come out after a private phone conversation with former wife and manager Tina Mitchell was leaked online recently.
The 55-year-old Sligo-born musician also addressed his marriage breakdown, revealing he attempted suicide last September after experiencing "an overwhelming sense of absolute sadness and hopelessness."
Gardai have launched an investigation into the unauthorized release of the recording, while Fleming expressed he is "absolutely remorseful and regretful" for any hurt caused to his family.
Prioritizing his mental health and family, the singer confirmed he intends to proceed with his upcoming tour, noting it is "the one place I can stand for two and a half hours.
